FEAST MODE NPC Salt City Showdown At FitCon Utah
Fit Con is proud to present 2019 NPC Feast Mode Salt City Showdown! NPC Salt City Showdown is quickly becoming one of the most popular national qualifiers in the country! Our premier amateur bodybuilding competition provides a unique and exciting experience for every athlete. NPC Salt City Showdown features: Men’s Bodybuilding, Physique, and Classic Physique, as well as Women’s Physique, Fitness, Figure, and Bikini divisions. Salt City Showdown guarantees an organized production on a professional stage with the highest quality audio/visual features, impressive swag for all of the competitors, plus a 2-day Fit Con pass and professional stage photos included with every registration. Athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their hard-earned physiques alongside the world’s best IFBB Professional athletes at the Fit Con Expo, which takes place in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah at the Salt Palace.
*Cost is $135 per class & crossover.
*Late fee of $135 per class will occur starting 12:01 am on March 31, 2019. *Online registration will be shut off at midnight on 4/6/19 *Each athlete will receive one 2-day pass to 2019 Fit Con Expo AND all professional stage pictures included with registration.

Registration for NPC Salt City Showdown: Cost per class is $135 and includes a 2-Day Fit Con Expo Pass, ALL professional stage photos, plus tons of swag and samples from our sponsors. Please complete online registration at https://Fit Con.com/showdown/npc-registration/.
Note: Registration Deadline is March 30, 2019 and the cost per class will double starting 12:01 am on March 31, 2019.
Registration & Crossovers: Please be sure to complete registration for each and every class in which you plan to compete. (ie Novice, Open, Teen). Crossovers between divisions are allowed (ie an athlete is permitted to compete in Men’s Physique and Men’s Classic Physique OR Women’s Figure and Bikini).
Please note: registration fees are non-refundable, so please plan/budget wisely. In case of emergency, fees can be transferred to the 2020 NPC Salt City Showdown. Contact showdown@Fit Con.com to make the Promoter, Robyn Maher, aware of these situations before the show.Credits for 2020 must be approved in writing by Promoter.
Qualifications to compete: All athletes must have current NPC membership card. NPC membership for the year is $125.00 and can be purchased ahead of time with credit card at www.npcregistration.com. You can also purchase an NPC card at the athlete check in meeting with cash only. Your card is valid for the 2019 calendar year only, no matter how many times you compete in NPC sanctioned events. Please note: this cost is separate from the registration fee to compete at the Salt City Showdown.
Host Hotel: Hyatt House Hotel, located at 140 S 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Hyatt House features in-room coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in each room, standard. There is a 24-hour fitness center, pool, and complimentary Wi-Fi. We encourage all competitors to book rooms as far in advance as possible as this venue WILL sell out! Salt City Showdown offers special group rates for a limited time. Check-In Times: All NPC Athletes must attend MANDATORY height/weight check between 4-6 pm in Meeting Room at the Salt Palace near Hall 1. Any competitor who does not check in will NOT compete and no refund or credit will be given. Every competitor must be weighed and/or height measured before competing, and will also be assigned athlete number. All Masters/Teen Competitors must be the appropriate age by April 13, 2019 in order to compete AND will be required to show proof of age (state issued driver’s license or passport). At check ins, competitors will receive NPC Salt City Showdown swag bags, a Fit Con Expo pass, and have the opportunity to purchase show tickets, NPC Membership card, and trainer/coach backstage passes.
Athlete Meeting– Saturday, April 13 at 9am at the Salt Palace Main Stage, Hall 2.
Pre-Judging starts Saturday, April 13 at 10am for NPC competitors. Order for pre-Judging: Women’s Fitness, Women’s Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Women’s Figure, Women’s Bikini.
IFBB Pro Pre-Judging at 12pm NPC Pre-judging will break, if not already completed, and the IFBB Pro Divisions will go on stage. IFBB Pro Men’s Physique will go first, followed by IFBB Pro Bikini. NPC show will resume after IFBB Pro judging, if necessary.
Entering the venue: For fastest access, enter the Fit Con Main Entrance on the West side of Salt Palace Convention Center on 300 West, across from Vivint Smart Home Arena. It is approximately 5-8 minute walk from the host hotel to get to the venue, and then to the Hall where Showdown takes place. Please allow adequate time to get to the venue so that the show can run smoothly and all athletes make it on stage with their class. Generally, it is recommended to be backstage 1 HOUR before call time (stage time). This will greatly reduce stress on show day and ensure that everyone has a positive experience.
Salt City Showdown Finals starts at 6pm on Saturday, April 13th.2019 Fit Con expo will end at 5pm, at which point the Hall 2 main stage area will be cleared and all public will be asked to leave, no exceptions. There will be no holding/reserving seats, so please line up at the doors if you would like to gain access first and save the most ideal seats for yourself and your group. For the best seating in the House, VIP and Reserved seating tickets are available for purchase ahead of time at www.saltcityshowdown.com. Doors will open to the public at 5:30 pm. NPC Finals will begin at 6 pm and IFBB Pro Finals & Awards will take place at 7 pm.Following IFBB Finals the NPC Awards presentation will resume. Note: Guidelines: All competitors will follow NPC rules, guidelines and mandatory poses. The mandatory poses for Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique, Women’s Physique, Figure, and Fitness found at www.npcnewsonline.com. See rules/regulations for Men’s Physique & Bikini as well.
Access to IFBB/NPC Salt City Showdown Finals will be best when entered from the Salt Palace entrance located on South Temple, near the Radisson Hotel. We recommend parking in thepublic lot just North of Radisson hotel, or underground public parking directly across from Vivint Smart Home Arena entered from 300 West.
Awards: Top Five placing in each class will receive awards. Overall Trophies will be given for Open Bodybuilding, Open Classic Physique, Open Men’s Physique, Open Figure, Open Bikini, Open Fitness, and Open Women’s Physique divisions.
Feedback and Scoring – At IFBB/NPC Salt City Showdown we are honored to host the world’s top IFBB and well-qualified NPC Judges. We appreciate all athletes showing these guests the upmost respect by emailing them after the show for feedback. The score sheets from NPC judges will be available on www.saltcityshowdown.com the following day, and IFBB Pro score sheets will be posted on www.npcnewsonline.com.
Music – Music needs to be sent to showdown@Fit Con.com by April 6th, along with your full name & division/classes in which you will compete. If you miss this deadline, you must bring it to check in meeting (on thumb drive) and pay mandatory $10 late fee. At the check in meeting, it is each athlete’s responsibility to confirm that music has been received in proper format & assign your competitor number to your music. Please note: Posing music MUST be MP3 format, cannot be a link to YouTube or iTunes. Absolutely NO profanity/vulgar lyrics allowed and will result in disqualification. Please edit music to maximum 60 seconds. Fitness athletes have up to 2 minutes. **Disclaimer: If your music is not received by the cut-off date of April 6th and/or these guidelines are not followed, house music will be provided for you.
Backstage access for Trainers & Coaches requires a pass for $75. Those who wish to purchase a backstage pass are required by the NPC to be a current member in good standing with NPC. These passes are not available for spouses/significant other/parents, etc. but are reserved only for coaches and trainers whose presence is necessary for the athlete’s guidance in relation to competing. Trainer Passes and NPC memberships for these individuals can be purchased at the Check in meeting, if necessary.
Liability Waiver: All competitors will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver in order to compete.
