Circus Dumbbell Lift Challenge- a historical contest format featuring a variety of sized dumbbells. These bells all have at least a 2” diameter or larger handle. The competitors will have 90 seconds to get maximum reps with the heaviest bell they can lift. A heavier bell lift beats a lighter bell lift, and multiple lifts at the same size beats a single lift. In the event of a tie the contestants will have a 45 second round tie breaker with the size down from their best scored lift. Scoring will be the “reverse strongman system” – first place is awarded 1 point, second takes 2 points, third takes 3 etc. The lift of the bell will be single hand. At no point can the no lifting hand touch the bell once an attempt begins. Athletes are permitted to use lifting belts and elbow sleeves, no support equipment is permitted on the wrist or hand. Chalk will be provided at the event. Tacky or any non provided aides are specifically forbidden. All rules will be explained in depth at the event, contact Adam Glass if you have questions.

In the event of a tie we will have a max lift tie breaker of 45 seconds. Chalk will be provided. Lifting belts and elbow sleeves are permitted, no other support equipment is allowed.
